Kari Pestolesi represents USA

Irvine, Calif. --- The team of Kari Pestolesi (Huntington Beach) and Olivia Waldowski (Irvine), representing Team USA, was tied with an experience Estonia team with two wins in pool play and needed a win against Estonia to receive one of the top eight seeds. Pestolesi-Waldowski fell 2-0 to Estonia today and then faced Canada in the first round of playoffs. Pestolesi-Waldowski defeated Team Canada 22-20 in the first set but dropped the next two sets and will play their second match of the double-elimination playoff format July 4.

The team of Keegan Featherstone (Manhattan Beach) Lauren Fendrick (Carlsbad) emerged as the winners from their pool and received a first-round bye. The duo will compete in playoff action July 4.
